oh hai neglected blog...

Oye!  I try to keep up but I fail again & again.  Blame the toddler :)  Addison had her 18 month appointment yesterday so I thought I'd drop in a quick note for the stats.  (technically shes 19.5 months but what the heck).
Weight 22.13
Height 33 inches
Still a light weight but above 50% for height.  Her iron was a little low so we are going to have to start some vitamins but everything else was good.

here's the little nut ball before bed tonight.

Addison 19 Months!

So Addison just turned 19 months, seriously though kid this needs to stop.  She was supposed to have her 18 month well child visit on Wednesday but instead she decided to get the flu and I got to leave work to pick her up at the baby sitters.  I spent most of the rest of  my day cuddling with her, cleaning up vomit & being vomited on. The last part was the highlight of my day, seriously it went down my shirt and everything.  Considering we made it this long with out a flu bug and it really only lasted about 18 hours or so from first vomit to last vomit, I think we've done okay.  Poor kid.

Other than vomiting, this kid is changing so much lately I can tell she's been doing some serious growing as she's finally starting to outgrow some of her 12 month clothes that she was able to wear for the past 8 months or so.  Pants are getting too short and of course shes just now able to hold them up on her skinny little waist.

Addison is doing all kinds of talking these days, I can't even begin to tell you all the words she says now, but its pretty cool that she can pretty much communicate most everything that she wants with you.  Whether it is through words or actually showing you she gets her point across.  We have some tantrum moments but for the most part she doesn't get super frustrated about much, though today was a whole other story but I think shes starting to cut some canines and I think that tooth pain will make anyone a bear.

Her sleeping habits have been wonderful lately (knock on wood), she goes to bed about 7:30 lately and sleeps until Tony wakes her up to take her to the sitter or about 8:30 on the weekend.  Can't really complain about that.  Occasionally she will wake up in the middle of the night but usually she goes right back to sleep she just wants a drink.  That's a whole other habit that we need to break, the going to sleep with milk, we finally got rid of the bottle for good, she was insisting on one at bed time but would take a sippy the rest of the day.  I decided a few weeks ago that I was done dealing with drippy bottle nipples and handed her a sippy cup at bed time and never looked back.  (I don't even think she noticed this time.)  I know she can go to bed without a cup of milk cause I've seen her do it. But its not like she drinks it all night, she usually finishes it and then goes to sleep which I'm pretty much okay with anyway so at this point I'm not pushing it.

She loves to bush her teeth, steal mommies computer, try to dress herself, help feed the kitties & doggies, give the doggies treats, loves loves loves her zoo talkers toys especially the ones that growl.  Still a climber, still fearless, silly & friendly as can be.
