Bumpdates: Baby 2: Week 31

How Far Along:
31 Weeks

Size of baby:
a Pineapple, appropriately stabby

Total Weight Gain:
15lbs

Stretch Marks:
Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
yes...the belly taketh over.

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
Lots.  Lots and lots of painful movement.  This kid is hanging out way way lower than Addison did.  And while I try to not be too much of a complainer, OMG he's killing me.  Like I'm supposed to keep this up for 9 more weeks...psh.

Sleep:
Definitely not sleeping well anymore.  Awake too many times to pee, can't get comfortable because my hips are killing me.

What I miss:
the ability to do ANYTHING without feeling like I just ran somewhere, bending over is painful not just difficult to do and stairs are like murder!

Food Cravings:
nothing in particular but it was Christmas so I just ate everything!

Food Aversions:
notta

Symptoms:
See above complaining :)

Best Moment This Week:
Christmas with a 3 year old, so much fun to watch her open presents.  Her expressions were awesome "oh my God, I lobe it!" "Just what I always wanted for Christmas!" etc., etc.

What I’m looking forward to:
the next week off of work...sweet sweet vacation!

Bumpdates: Baby 2: Week 30

How Far Along:
30 Weeks

Size of baby:
A Cucumber, how do you go from a round squash to a cucumber?

Total Weight Gain:
13lbs

Stretch Marks:
Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
yes...the belly taketh over.

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
Lots of painful kicks to my bits.  Kid is vicious, Addison was all up in my ribs for months, he seems to be trying kicking/punching his way out.

Sleep:
I learned the hard way this week pregnant ladies need more than 2 shitty hours of sleep at night.  OH MAN.  Other than Monday night, wake ups have definitely been more common and finding the comfortable spot harder.

What I miss:
Not having aches and pains somewhere at all times.  Ah yes, the last 10 weeks of torture are upon me.

Food Cravings:
nothing in particular this week, Just the usual, you have food I'll eat it.

Food Aversions:
notta

Symptoms:
Hip pain still, the lovely night time leg cramps that I managed to avoid almost completely last time.  Getting tired faster/more easily.

Best Moment This Week:
When we went to the Monday night football game, even though I walked a TON, stayed up FAR to late and our team LOST.  But it was fun regardless.

What I’m looking forward to:
Christmas!

Bumpdates: Baby 2: Week 29

How Far Along:
29 Weeks

Size of baby:
an acorn squash, finally a considerable amount of baby to make up all that movement

Total Weight Gain:
12.5lbs, oh man Thanksgiving and that sweet tooth are doing me in!

Stretch Marks:
Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
yes...the belly taketh over.

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
Tons, he's like me doesn't want to be touched, put your hand on my belly when he's moving and he'll quickly kick you pretty hard.

Sleep:
Since I've been sick this week (and I'm typing this late) I took two sick days from work and slept, and slept.  It was FANTASTIC though I still feel tired!

What I miss:
I've reached the point where I miss the ability to bend, pick up a pencil off the floor?  Fuck that.  It's dead to me.  Bending over all day at work KILLS me.

Food Cravings:
celery with peanut butter

Food Aversions:
notta

Symptoms:
lots of hip pain to the point of hardly being able to walk last Saturday evening, I feel like I needed a hip replacement.  I remember some hip pain with Addison also but hers tended to be more overall soreness where I think this is more of the sciatica pain I hear people talk about.

Best Moment This Week:
Santa Visiting see Addison section below.

What I’m looking forward to:
my recheck ultrasound on the 30th, to double check and see if the fluid they noted in his kidneys at my anatomy scan has cleared itself up or not.  Not one to worry about anything I don't have to worry about so I'd like to know if it's something that we should prepare ourselves for being a problem or not!

Addison:
This honestly probably deserves an entire blog post on it's own but I've pretty much sucked at doing blog posts about anything but being pregnant lately so I'm putting it here.  Anyhow not baby related at all- We went to the Parma Fire Station to see my favorite Santa (which we try to do every year except when absent minded mommy just completely forgets about it, as I did last year)  We got there early because we are impatient about waiting in lines.  We ended up being the 2nd people there with a small family of kids ahead of us.  We waited for them to announce that Santa was on his way (on a firetruck!) and Addison and I headed outside to wait for him to pull up.  I didn't take my camera outside with me nor did I think to video tape her reaction because I had NO clue it would be so great, but that girl FLIPPED for Santa.  I'm talking full hopping/squealing in delight making pregnant over emotional mom tear up to see her so fricken excited.  As soon as she could see the firetruck lights flashing from up the road the "Santa!, Santa!, Santa!" screams started.  They pulled the firetruck around the back of the station and then around the building to park and let him get out and she started screaming again.  Too flipping cute.  Santa got out and walked up to a girl close to us and started talking to her, not one to miss out Addison ran right up to him and grabbed his hand.  Starstruck but never one to be shy!

We let santa get in the building and Addison is all "me first, I'm first"  and I had to remind her that there were kids in front of us that she had to wait her turn.  Of course the girls in front of us were too shy/nervous to get up there first so when Santa said "Well, who's gonna come sit with me first?" my child couldn't run/jump up there fast enough!

I so wish that I would have thought to video tape her reaction.  I never in a million years thought it would be so great!  And I'm sure she'll never have such a great reaction again!  Girl loves her some Santa this year!

Bumpdates: Baby 2: Week 28

How Far Along:
28 Weeks, Hello third trimester!

Size of baby:
an eggplant

Total Weight Gain:
9lbs

Stretch Marks:
Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
yes...the belly taketh over.

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
oh yes, I think he's a jumping bean

Sleep:
I NEED more, as in I'm seriously starting to lose it and I know my lack of proper sleep is 90% of the cause.  But not being able to go to bed till after 9pm (which is usually damn near 11pm or later) and waking up by 4:30 is my ONLY option so yippie.

What I miss:
My sanity, I knew work after a short week would be brutal but good god this week is killing me.  Tired, stressed too much to do not nearly enough hours to accomplish it all. BLAH.

Food Cravings:
So hungry all the time. Nothing in particular this week, just want my candy.

Food Aversions:
notta

Symptoms:
over emotional, over stressed, on the verge of murder.....I mean really I've wanted to kill people this week.  Lots of being kicked to the point of pain inducing!  Kid is already violent like his momma.

Best Moment This Week:
My mom took Addison for two nights over the weekend so as much as I hate giving up my kid on my free days to spend with her, her threenage attitude lately has had me needing a SERIOUS break.  Unfortunately my free time didn't involve much extra "FUN" for me but I did get some things accomplished at home that I have a hard time doing with a three year old running the house!

What I’m looking forward to:
Maternity Leave.  So close, yet SO SO far away!!!

Addison's 2013 Chrismas Wish List

I figured since this is the first year that Addison really is getting the whole idea of Christmas and making wish lists I should document the biggest/most talked about ideas on her Christmas Wish List.  It is the most hilarious thing in the world to hand her a toy catalog right now because she will "ohh, ooh I need this, I want that" over everything whether she needs/wants/knows what it is or not.  SO FUNNY!

tops on her list are:

iPad:  (really you are three!!! THREE!!!!  This came about randomly one day when out of the blue she shouted "I know what I want for Christmas!  I want a phone just like you guys!  No!  I want and iPad!"  and now she's stuck on it.  #1 on her list

Doc McStuffin's Doctor Kit:

and this Talking Tom toy:

The rest of her ideas aren't permanent and change from day to day.  Anything Doc McStuffins, Octonauts, Team Umizoomi makes the list.
