13 Months Stats (A few days late)

Whoah, I blinked and a whole month went by, it almost completely slipped my mind that Tuesday my baby turned 1 year plus a whole month!  (if it weren't for that little thing on facebook popping up saying this day in 2010 I surely would have missed it.)

So Stats:
Weight: 19lbs 6oz.  she's a shrimp!
Height: 30 inches

Diaper: size 3 or 4 depending on the brand, mostly still in 3's

Clothes:  Still well within 9-12 month sizes, starting to be able to fit into 12-18 month sizes without looking like an anorexic. Still wearing a size 2 shoe, some 3's are starting to finally stay on her little feet.

Says: all the things from before + Bubbles, Bad, Moo's for cow, Meow's for kitty, night night, num-num's for snack,  mine, bye bye, lots of jibber jabber that we are unsure the meaning of.  

Teeth:  She finally got a 3rd tooth this month, working on the fourth, its almost made its way through.

Bedtime: between 9-9:30, trying to get it earlier but the girl is a night owl like her parents.  Sleeps through the night and generally wakes up around 9am if left to herself. Now tosses everything out of her crib onto the floor in the morning when she's ready for you to come get her.

She loves books, kitties, doggies, and cows.  Really everything you ask her what sound a (fill in the blank) makes she first replies with MMMMMOOO.
Still no fear of anything or anyone, she lives to entertain!

Addison has been so silly lately and so independent, she's learned how to climb onto the couch and must have done it 15 times in a row last night, climb up, slide down, climb up, slide down.....She's figured out how to open up the screen door to go out on the porch..naughty!  I keep telling everyone how fun she is right now, I just love to spend time with her and watch her start to "get" things.  She's so proud of herself you can't help but love the kid!

Favorite Photo from August

The Paper Momma's Photo challenge this weeks topic is favorite photo from August.  This past week I took some pictures of Addison playing outside in the yard, this one of her touching the dog kennel like she's not supposed to is my favorite that I have taken this month.

Again with more pages :)  I really just like using this, I have always enjoyed scrapbooking now I can actually do a page or two a day without worrying that Addison is going to run off with a pair or scissors or some glue that she shouldn't have!  Tonight Addison and I played in her sandbox that she got for her birthday with purple sand. What fun.  She of course was more into trying to play with the dogs in their outside kennel which she's not supposed to be touching...yeah right.

Scrapbook Pages

I played around some more today with this My Memories Software, I am loving how easy this thing is!  Here are just a few more scrapbook pages that I created this afternoon after work, these both took only about 30 minutes total to complete.  Again loving that I can save the entire page as a Jpeg image to use for sharing!

I made this video using a pre-made scrapbook layout. I just added my own pictures and wrote what I wanted it to say. I like that it gives you prompts for ideas in the journaling spaces, because sometimes its hard to come up with exactly what to write!

My Memories Digital Scrabooking Software Giveaway

My first giveaway!

    My Memories contacted me to review their My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software.  I was  excited to try it out before I got to share it with you guys.  I don't know if any of you already make or have made digital scrapbooks but let me tell you from my days of lugging out piles of paper, scissors, glue, tape, embellishments digital scrapbooking is the way to go.  You no longer need a room dedicated to storing all your scrapbooking things or an entire table just to dedicate to an hour or two of scrapbooking.   All you need is access to a computer where, come on now, we all know that all your pictures are already stored just sitting there waiting for you to do something with them!

 In the past when I create a digital scrapbook I have used an online service such as Snapfish or Shutterfly (whoever offers the best deal usually).  The problem with these services is that you have to upload all your pictures to their site which takes FOREVER, when they are already right there in front of you on your computer.  My Memories Suite allows you to create right from your computer no need to access the internet while you work.  Which I think is a huge benefit of the program.  Another huge thing for me, as I just switched from a mega huge screen laptop to a notebook, you can zoom in and out on your page, with the online programs the whole page is fixed and I couldn't get a good view of what I was doing from my new computer.  Problem solved. I now have the option of saving each page as a jpeg and I can have my photo book professionally printed or I can print at home if I wanted to.  

My Memories Suite is more than just scrapbooking, if that's just not your thing.  You can also create collages,  calendars, greeting cards and it will even create a video slide show for you to share with you family of your scrapbook if you want to share your creation with others.

I played with it for a little while once I downloaded it (which was simple by the way, step by step instructions that were so easy to follow) to create a few pages.  You can quickly learn how to use it by just playing around with it, its very easy to figure out, but if you need help they provide video instructions if you need them.  You can make your scrapbook pages as simple as dropping photos into a pre-made layout or personalizing every last detail that is added or not added to a page.  There really are no limits.  I created all my pages shown below on my own, there are so many options with this you can easily use it to fit your own comfort level of creativeness, or how much time you want to spend on it.

On this next one I used a collage layout and just dropped in my pictures, I'll be doing this more for my photo bomb blog entries to decrease the number of pictures people have to load!:

Mother Nature

I love a good thunder storm, especially if its a particularly flashy lightning show also!  Last Saturday we had just that, the skies got eerie with low "rolling" clouds,

The wind picked up, and soon the rain followed as well as the hail!

But all those clouds and storming make for an amazing sunset at night, 

and a pretty awesome look at the full moon!

as a result of said storm, we had no power for about 18 hours.  Wee!
