yes please.  Not incredibly tired as much as I am incredibly LAZY and UNMOTIVATED  I can't seem to find my MoJo.  

What I miss:  

Eating like normal

Food Cravings:   

Pretty much NOTHING sounds good to me.  Or if it does sound good it doesn't taste as good as it sounded when I wanted it.  Except I could eat 100 lbs of garden cucumbers right now and I have NONE cause I didn't plant a garden this year.  bummer. 

Food Aversions: 
Still just about everything once it's on my plate.  Certain things are good once then I'm over it again.  very annoying.

Symptoms:
Still nauseous, still lazy, food aversions, easily annoyed.

Best Moment This Week:

Sharing our news with Family & Friends at Addison's  birthday party & again when we made it FB official.

What I’m looking forward to:  

Week 12, hopefully feeling more normal

Now that we've shared the news we are talking to her more about being a big sister, she seems excited and can't wait to teach a baby how to play, and use the potty!

Bumpdates Baby #2: Week 9

7/24/13

Down 3 lbs, probably due to the constant upset stomach and food aversions!

Sleep:
So tired. I could pretty much nap every few hour right now.

What I miss:  
Food sounding good.

Food Cravings:   

Watermelon is still delicious.  Pretty much anything cold and 'fresh'.  Mom had some garden cucumbers that were fantastic the other day!

Food Aversions: 
Baby is still a coffee hater, only took a few days to really kick the caffeine headaches to the curb from the withdraw!  I've experienced a lot of "oh that sounds good" get it on my plate and I can only manage a few bites.  Hoping that doesn't last the whole pregnancy!

Symptoms:
Still nauseous, still exhausted.  Incredibly unmotivated to do much of anything.   I even called into work on Monday cause I was in such a funk between the tired and the sick!

Best Moment This Week:

First Dr. Appointment was on Friday.  I don't know why but they are incredibly stingy with ultrasounds here.  So we won't get to see baby other than at the anatomy scan somewhere around 18 weeks.  Bummer.  But he said so far everything looks good, he said my uterus is the size it should be at 8 weeks and due to the fact that I have a tilted uterus that I may just wake up pregnant sometime between 10 and 12 weeks when my uterus decides to tip forward like its supposed to be.  Yay for hiding it while I can!

What I’m looking forward to:  

We decided that we will tell our family & friends about the pregnancy this weekend at Addison's birthday party.  By way of her getting a "big sister" shirt as one of her gifts!  Interwebz announcement to come soon after.

 Addison:
We've still been not saying much about it to her, we wanted to prevent a toddler slip-up of her telling anyone.  She was pretty set last night that she would like a baby brother but this changes from week to week.

Bumpdates: Baby #2: Week 8

Movement:
None.

Sleep:
Still no problems sleeping but waking up in the middle of the night feeling sick..blah  Also the eshaustion is starting to hit me now, instead of "doing stuff" when I get home from work that needs done I find myself not caring what my house looks like and lying on the couch.  Which is great seeing how we have a 3 year old's B-day party to get ready to throw at the house in a week and a half and quite honestly my house is TRASHED.

What I miss:  
This week, not feeling queasy.  

Food Cravings:   

fruit, preferably COLD watermellon, strawberries & blueberries.  Yum, that's kind of the only thing I actually WANT to eat.  That and pizza rolls, they sound fantastic.

Food Aversions: 
This baby hates coffee, It's been over a week since I've had a coffee it just doesn't sound good (which is unheard of for me) and when I tried to have one out of habit - blech.  Not cool baby, not cool!  

Symptoms:
for sure experiencing some 'morning sickness' thats lasting all damn day long, luckily no vomiting but sometimes I'd rather vomit than feel like I was going to all day!  Also feeling pretty tired the last few days.  10 hour work days + 2 hours of commuting is going to kill me.

Best Moment This Week: & Addison:

Addison was nosing under our bed and found a shoe box that I had stuffed the cards I got from when she was born into.  There was also a stack of photos from my baby shower where I was ready to explode and our 3D u/s pictures.  She looked through the pictures with me and one of the photo's was just a up close face shot of me smiling and she wanted to keep it.  So I let her carry it around the house with her.  She kept saying "mommy you were so happy, look how happy you were with me in your belly" .  God that girl is so cute.  She curled up next to me on the couch the next day and said "I wanna get back in your belly"  Sorry chick a newborn is bad enough not going to be carrying around a 3 year old in there!

What I’m looking forward to:  

First doctor appointment on Friday!

Bumpdates: Baby #2: Week 7

Sleep:
Still no problems sleeping but it's starting to hurt to sleep on my stomach, almost like a full bladder have to pee feeling but not.

What I miss:  
Not feeling bloated like crazy.

Food Cravings:   

Guacamole is one of the only things that sounds delicious to me right now, and like when I was pregnant with Addison - STEAK :)

Food Aversions: 
nothing specific, just a lot of stuff that doesn't sound good.

Symptoms:
Feeling tired has hit me this week for sure, I could crash out right now.  Definitely some morning time nausea this morning that had me wanting to call into work (that and being off work 6 days will almost always make you feel sick when you have to go back!)  

Best Moment This Week: 

Not blabbing my pregnancy to everyone, especially when they kept me on the go, go, go and I was feeling pretty exhausted at the end of the day....man keeping a secret is HARD.  I'm pretty sure we will wait to announce until after my Dr. appointment on the 19th.

What I’m looking forward to:  

That Dr. appointment, and my next work vacation....

What I miss:  
I missed being able to drink like an idiot on our canoe trip last week, but it wasn't so bad someone had to drive home after all

nothing

Food Aversions: 

none yet, I'm actually feeling less hungry than normal

Symptoms:
some mood swinging around here, a little cramping, and starting to feel more and more tired.  Oh man how I was tired last pregnancy.  Hoping I can keep up with Addison this time!

Best Moment This Week: 

Scheduling that first Dr. Appointment.  July 19th!

What I’m looking forward to:  

Being able to tell people!  I had to hold my tongue today when another girl at work slid out that she was pregnant.  I told my co-worker because I have to for my job related situations but other than that so far it's hush hush.  I'm not sure how long we will wait to announce it to the world but we may tell our families earlier this time, we haven't really talked about it yet. 

Addison:

"Addison, do you want momma to have a baby?"  "NO, I want you to have a girl and I will have a boy, we're gonna have sisters!"  

Bumpdates: Baby #2: Week 5

I wasn't blogging back when I was pregnant with Addison so I have nothing other than weekly photo's to document my pregnancy.  This time around I'm going to try and keep up with weekly updates as well as photos

Sorry for the bathroom mirror at work photo, I actually don't have a tall mirror at home..remind me to clean off my dresser so I can use that mirror!

How Far Along:  

According to my LMP (last menstrual period for those of you not up on your pregnancy forum acronyms, also what date they use to determine your due date if you don't know exact date of ovulation) I should be 5 weeks. Due to the fact that I didn't test positive until a week after my period was due, my due date may actually be later...we shall find out whenever I go to the doctor...speaking of which I need to schedule that today.

Size of baby:
an Appleseed(these will all be according to The Bump's Food comparisons)

Total Weight Gain:
None.

Stretch Marks: 

None. (well that's a huge lie, leftovers from Addison count?  There will probably be no bare-belly shots this time!)

Maternity Clothes:
nope.  So not looking forward to an entire new maternity wardrobe since this babe will be the complete opposite weather of a July babe.

Baby doesn't even know yet.

Movement:
None.

Sleep:
I have NO problem sleeping right now, head hits the pillow, I'm out!

What I miss:  nothing yet 

Food Cravings:   

nothing.

Food Aversions: 

none yet, these were huge for me with Addison!

Symptoms:
So far the only symptom aside from bitchyness has been sore boobs, like stab me with a knife sore.

Best Moment This Week: 

Getting a positive test!  Seriously if one more friend told me they were pregnant before me I was gonna punch them.  lol.  I want what I want when I want it. (and I wanted this baby 7 months ago ;) )

What I’m looking forward to:  

I'm interested to see how this pregnancy will be the same/different than my pregnancy with Addison.  I can't wait for the first appointment to hear the heartbeat (if I got to get an u/s again that would be awesome)  that appointment always makes it feel real.  

Addison:

I'm torn between if we should tell her and make a big deal about it yet or wait until we are closer to ready to tell everyone.  I mean she's almost 3 and definitely capable of blabbing about mommy having a baby to people we just aren't ready to tell yet!   But if you ask her if she wants a little brother/sister she happily exclaims "Yes! I want a sister!!"  Girl loves her some babies.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

Addison,

I can’t believe we have a three year old on our hands.  I know they say time flies but really it does.  I feel like we just celebrated two, one, your birth, finding out we were having a baby!  You have done so much growing and changing yet I still see my little baby.  You’ve mastered the potty, dressing yourself, and helping yourself to whatever it is you want from the kitchen. 

You’ve always been an outgoing child, you were never afraid of anyone as a baby and you continue that trend as a toddler.  Occasionally you will see a “scary” biker looking man and announce it loudly enough for him to hear as if to get them to pay attention to you and as quickly as you thought you were going to be afraid of him you are giggling and laughing.  You are the child that people worry about being too friendly!  You love everyone and there is no one that you wouldn’t happily go spend the day with.  I love that you are easy going and quick to make new friends.  (I just wish you'd have a tiny little fear of strangers!) 

You love to sing.  You love when people sing to you.  When we go see animals at the fair or wherever you are sure to stop and find a few that need you to sing to them.  We went to the Ingham Co. Fair for your birthday and you stopped to sing twinkle, twinkle to a few sleeping pigs!  You wanted to sing Happy Birthday to everyone at your birthday party after they sang to you.  You make sure that mommy sings you as many songs as you can con her into at bed time.  I frequently have the radio on in the car and you ask me to turn it off, you like to sing to yourself.  Recently though you have picked up on a few songs and I’ll catch you singing a line or two.  Your favorite and most requested is “Rock Me, Momma”  Darius Ruckers version.  I had to buy it on iTunes because you so frequently want to hear it.

You are without a doubt a tomboy.  You love to get dirty, you hate to wear shoes (see above photos, you started your party out with shoes on!)  and you would never wear pants if you didn't have to.  Actually one of your favorite things to do when getting ready for or out of a bath is run into the room and stick your butt out and ask “did you see my butt?”.  Where do you learn these things?  You are gross and obsessed with farts which you call “tarts”.  Obsessed, you don’t just go pee and poop in the potty you HAVE to tell us that you tarted two times in the potty too.  You live for your new sand box and pirate things right now.  You have a girly side that loves to play with dolls but it’s always short lived and your back to being rough and tough. 

Even though you are a tough kid, tomboy, you are the sweetest kid in the world.  Quick to apologize when you are naughty, always ready to give a hug or a kiss.  You are in a stage right now where your feelings are easily hurt.  You are always concerned about other people if they are hurt, and you are a sympathy crier.  And you are pretty good at remembering to say please and “tank you!” 

Your pronunciation has improved so much, I secretly hate it.  I loved your little mispronunciations of things like “papples” and can’t stand it when your daddy tries to make you say “farm’ rather than “Tarm”  it will come with time for now I’d like to enjoy the little bit of baby that you still have.  Go ahead a mispronounce those F's, V's, & G's When you say your alphabet you always leave out “E” and and an incredible amount of extra “MNO’s”  before you move on to P. 

You had so much fun at your birthday party this year, you said it was your “best day eber! “   You loved every second of it.  Last year you were into it, but this year you ‘Got it’ it is so neat to see you get things and really enjoying yourself.  I love watching you grow, even though I don’t want you to. 

I can’t wait to see how you take on the role of big sister.  Half of me is terrified that you will be too rough and too crazy with a newborn, cause let's be honest you are anything but a calm quiet child, but then I see the side of you with other babies where all you want to do is help.  I am sure that you will be such a good helper.  You already say you want to teach a baby how to play with toys and use the potty.  (all the sooner on that second part the better!)  You want mommy to have a baby brother and you want to have a baby sister.  But it changes every day and I don’t quite think you grasp the whole thing yet.

 Happy Birthday my sweet girl.   We love you more than anything, and are so thankful to have you in our lives.  

July Cara Box

This was my second month doing the Carabox exchange.  I had a lot of fun with it the first time around so I figured I'd sign up to do it again.  (Although next time I have a crazy busy month of birthdays/party planning I may opt out since it just made me even more frantic to get to the post office on time!  Even though I had it all ready to go the first week of July.  That's what a little procrastination gets you, rushing to the post office on the 19th!)  Anywho, This month I was matched up with Sydney  who I hope has gotten her Carabox and enjoys it, I had fun sticking things to this months "sail away with me" theme.  And my own Carabox came from the lovely Avery   (who's name I just love it's not something you hear in the above 8 year old crowd very often despite how popular it is now.)  I had fun getting to know these ladies and am for sure jealous of all of Avery's goats.

On to the box!

I liked this theme because you could take your own spin on what sailing away meant.  Avery had me prepped for a good day at the beach!  Adorable flip flops (who doesn't love flip flops?)  a insulated drink cup (I'm fairly sure that I didn't tell her about my drink cup obsession), Island Berry gum, a manicure block, a little cosmetic bag perfect for stashing things into a beach bag and Margarita Dip Mix, which if I remember to grab some cream cheese when I go to the store we just may be trying out at my daughters 3rd birthday party this weekend with the fruit salad!

Busy, Busy, Busy.

Oh man, per the ushe, life has been hectic, crazy, busy.  Summer.  Oh do I love me some summer.  Days that aren't eaten up by 12 hours dedicated to making a living. (boo) have been spent doing things like more trips to zoos (John Ball Zoo), lots of pool time at my moms house, a trip to Ludington. MI , Potter Park Zoo, I turned 31, we tore up the casino sea food buffet, and just plain having a good time.  In between naps when they are allowed ;)  There are more updates on life to come soon I promise :)

Addison has become a pool master, just give her a life jacket and she'll swim around all day.  Take the life jacket off and she can swim underwater to you for a few short feet.  She never tires!

on my birthday a client offered to take us out to eat for lunch at Gandy Dancer here in Ann Arbor.  That meant dressing 'nice' which meant no scrubs for a day.  So I had to document that I bought these pants at 21 when I was getting ready to interview for 'real' jobs out of college.  10 years and a kid later and they still fit.  Major win for 31!

and last but not least, Seafood deliciousness.  Firekeepers Casino has an amazing seafood buffet!  Check it out!  I also put $20 in to my first machine, and got up to $114 in minutes...whoo for playing all night with only $40 I had!

We're getting the house and the yard ready for Addison's #3 party this coming Saturday.  Honestly I can't wait for it to be over :)  Parties are too much work.  But she will have a blast and that's really all that matters in the long run.

Monday, Monday..

I'm fairly certain that I will never learn to go to bed early enough on a Sunday night to be prepared to deal with a Monday.  Struggling pretty hard to keep my eyes open today.

As usual I made the most of my three days off.  Friday Addison and I hung out, did a few small projects around the house and attempted to clean but I just wasn't feeling like being stuck in the house so only a few things got accomplished before we headed outside to play & paint a few fun things for Addison.  Nothing much was going on Friday evening and I honestly can't remember doing anything other than a quick grocery trip and a stop at the thrift store.

Saturday I visited with my neighbor and her little girl so that we could do her free photo session that she won from me last fall.  Her daughter and Addison are only a few months apart and eventually they will be in the same class together so it was fun for them to get a chance to play.  Even if Addison was way more excited about someone to play with than Tori was :)

After pictures I got to work on hanging up the boxes that I stained last weekend in my bathroom for some added storage & got Tony to help me hang some picture frames because I stuck and level and even spacing!  While it looks incredibly weird right now to walk into my bathroom and see the things hanging on the wall (it feels like they are out of place cause they haven't always been there) I really like it and LOVE the added storage.

Saturday afternoon/evening we headed to a wedding reception for our good friends/pretty much family.  It was a good time, topped off with fireworks at dark.  My mom took Addison home with her so that we could go on an all day canoe trip on Sunday.

Sunday my kayak made it's maiden voyage with 28 other kayaks/tubes/canoes.  Our friend/pretty much family (we have a lot of pretty much family around here) and his wife were home for a visit from Colorado.  Bobby is in the Air Force and recently got home from a deployment so he and Kaylee came home for a vacation.  (for documentation sake, while "Uncle Bobby" was here Addison was obsessed with him.  She wanted to sit in a lawn chair and watch uncle Bobby mow my brothers yard, they live across the road from us, rather than play since he was busy working and couldn't come play with her.  Every time she saw him it was instant "Uncle Bobby!  Uncle Bobby!!")  While they were here he wanted to go on a canoe trip so his sister invited everyone and we ended up with a 41 person turn out.  Which is by far the largest canoe trip I've ever been a part of.  It was a great time, we were on the river for about 6 hours which is far less time than we thought it would take, and that included a pretty long stop for lunch at half way.  Definitely loving the kayak and can't wait to find the time to go again!

This week is a holiday week so I get Thursday and Friday off, and I took Monday/Tuesday also so lucky me, six day weekend!!!  yay!
