Wordless Wednesday

Lets just face it my Wednesdays will never actually be wordless!  Anywho...I was able to photography my first newborn this past weekend.  (Not my newborn, but my first photography client newborn!)  So exciting and he was so perfect and sweet!

I have an 18 month old!

Seriously this child has got to stop getting older!  How did I get a one and a half year old kid? I can't believe how quickly she's turning into a kid and not a baby.  I'm trying to keep up with the monthly Addison updates but really she's changed so much yet I feel like I have nothing to say differently each month.

She's still full of personality, and says "hi, HI, Hiya!" to EVERYONE we walk past in the grocery store.  Friendly as can be, and stubborn as can be.  She has some toddler tantrums but usually only when she is tired and so long as you walk away and ignore them they are over as soon as they start.  

She's in love with her farm animal blanket, its a new obsession and possibly the first and only attachment to anything that shes had yet.  She calls it her "B" (where do they get the ideas to name things?  I swear I've never referred to it as anything but a blanket, she came up with B on her own!)

She has a new love for trains and just really started picking up on the train as it goes past our house and she can hear the whistle blowing.  She will stop what she's doing and say choo-choo!

She loves her Momma, I win over everyone but Dadda & B are close seconds.  Okay, okay, B wins over me when shes tired.  :)

Memories, Dreams & Reflections

Lets see life gets busy and I failed miserably at that last attempt to follow through with a months worth of daily photos. So here's one I can accomplish.  Ashley Sisk's Memories, Dreams & Reflections for 2011.

I'm most proud that I finally decided to start this photography thing, my whole life I have loved taking pictures, capturing things on film.  I've always been the annoying one with the camera in all my friends faces :)  Now I get to capture peoples important moments in their lives as well as my own.

and the day we shoved the pack and play into the bathroom of our little hotel room so that Addison could take a nap since we only had one room for all 3 of us.   Not realizing that she was quiet because she was being naughty & could reach the toilet paper roll rather than being quiet because she was sleeping.

I'm a huge fan of all things Michigan (that's the state of Michigan folks, not UofM, Michigan--only on paydays)  I LOVED our little home state vacation to the U.P. this past summer exploring some of the places I've never been, and cannot wait to check out more things that this great state has to offer.

My Favorite - share your favorite picture or memory from 2011.

Not because it's got great composition or focus or any of those things.  Because it is among some of the last pictures that were taken of my dad, in July, at our family reunion that he organized this past summer.  I candidly caught him doing the things he always did, like giving Addison Diet Pepsi because that's what Grandpa's like him did, even if I claimed she really didn't need to drink diet pepsi!  I love this picture because it is a great memory to pass along to Addison, this is blown up & framed in her bedroom on the wall and she knows that it's Papa & baby and pop already!
