Trash to Treasure Changing Table

I had been wanting a changing table for our bedroom for some time so that we could get the pack and play that had been set up in there since we were waiting for Addison's arrival OUT of our bedroom and taking up all that space.  I started looking around online for someone selling a CHEAP used one that was your basic wood Jenny Lind style so that I could gussy it up and make it pretty.

I finally found one on craigslist for $10!  $10 makes me happy, $50 that I saw some people asking for is just crazy talk.  So I drove over and crammed that thing in the back of my SUV.  

I got it home and promptly started tearing it apart so that I could primer and paint it.  It went from boring brown wood to a pretty New Holland Yellow.  Yes, New Holland Yellow tractor color from Valspar.  I needed paint, and Tractor Supply was the closest and easiest place to get paint that day.  It turned out the perfect sunny shade anyway and I love it.   I also painted the shelves white to brighten it up. (sorry for the grainy pictures, these were taken when my iphone camera was broken,  I fixed it though I promise all future phone pictures will look better than these!)

I got lucky and a friend of mine had an extra changing table pad lying around at her house so I got that for free.  Project total after cost of paint, primer and cost of changing table....$28.00!!  Yay!

My Newest Project

I finally found a craigslist table that fit my description of what I was looking for and cost under $100 since I am planning on refinishing.  And because it's not so pretty the girl was only asking $20....so I offered $15, and she took it.  It's going to take me a little more work than one in better condition would have but we'll just add an extra day of sanding off a crap paint job to my timeline, which is non existent cause I'm not in a dire need for a table I still have one!  Anyway, here's a before for you!

Hoping that it turns out amazing.  Then to decide what to get for chairs!  Opinions, 4 matching chairs painted the same? 4 mis-matched chair styles all painted the same color?  Or matching for each opposite side of the table but two different style chairs? 4 mis matched chairs in 4 different colors?  Hint, Hint, table plans currently are this teal blue on the base.

What look do you like, I'm honestly digging the mis-matched bright different colored chairs myself, or mismatched chairs all different colors.  Decisions Decisions.  Tell me what you think!  Oh yeah, Addison has a lovely Teal painted highchair that will sit at the table also if that changes your opinion, and we will only have four chairs at the table.
