Bumpdate: Baby 2: Week 21

So this is a little late but you know, life.  This week was spent working as usual, a Tigers ALCS game for Tony and I along with my cousin & her hubby, a doctors appointment, Halloween costume making for a spoiled three year old that I know and sorting through BINS, and BINS of girl clothes to get rid of.

We had standing room tickets for the Tigers game which meant the whole game on my feet on top of walking to and from the game which really wasn't that far but my body on Wednesday and Thursday surely told me that I over did it.  That is something that I don't ever remember feeling like with Addison, though I also wasn't helping to carry/pick up a three year old around all the time then either.  This baby feels so much lower than Addison did when I was carrying her, which is maybe why being on my feet too long seems to kill me.  I feel like I got sucker punched in the uterus to be exact :)  and all the movement I've felt is like dancing on top of my bladder.  I've also noticed that any time I attempt to carry anything that is pressing up against my belly I get major stomach pains instantly, I don't know if its ligament pain or baby protest, all I know is it hurts!

I had a doctors appointment on Monday, which for a change I had Monday off because I had to work this past Saturday.  Anyway, when we had our ultrasound they found that there was fluid on the baby's kidneys.  The ultrasound tech said it was pretty common in male babies especially and it usually goes away on it's own before birth, that they would just keep an eye on it.  Dr. Farhat re-confirmed the tech's statement and said they would do a recheck ultrasound around 30 weeks to make sure that it had gone away.  I haven't worried myself too much about it since they and other people I have talked to make it sound like its a pretty common occurrence.

Pants for sure, still rocking mostly normal shirts

Sleep:
Always want more, someone like to add more hours to my day just for sleeping?

What I miss:
Not feeling like I over do it with the littlest things

Food Cravings:   

no real cravings lately, I'm happy to be able to eat anything now again and not have the food aversions that I had with Addison.

Symptoms:
Tired, over emotional, hungry, abdomen pains mentioned above

Best Moment This Week:

Hearing the heartbeat again at the doctors office 143, something about hearing it is comforting.  I don't know if its a second kid thing, a being super busy thing or what but this pregnancy just doesn't feel as 'real' it's strange and hard to explain.  I guess maybe it just doesn't consume my every thought like it did when it was the 'first'.  

What I’m looking forward to: 

Another ultrasound, and we'll get a 3D look at that one!

Addison:

Refers to the baby as "her baby" she still wants to name him Puddin' but also is ok with the name that we have picked out.  (Yes there is a name folks, but you'll have to wait to find out!)  When we ask her if we can name the baby _____ she says "No Puddin!", but if you ask her what other name she likes for the baby she'll tell you she likes the name we've picked.  I mean she can call him Puddin' for his whole life if she really wants to, I'm sure when he's 16 he'll love it.

Total Weight Gain:
I think my scale is broken because I keep eating and eating and yet I continue to weigh less than the day I found out I was pregnant.  Still down a little over a pound.

Stretch Marks: 

Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
Give me all the maternity clothes!

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
yes

Sleep:
Still sleep deprived but now that I'm not popping codeine laden Tylenol every 4 or so hours I definitely stopped feeling like the walking dead.

What I miss:
starting to feel that "I over did it" feeling when I go on a cleaning mission or have a long day at work.  I hate the way pregnancy can kick your ass!

Food Cravings:   

Back on my candy kick, gummy bears, jelly beans, starburst.  This kid loves apple juice & all things dairy.  

Food Aversions: 
Nothing anymore, I had them so bad with Addison so it's nice to still be able to eat chicken this time

Symptoms:
a belly with a baby in it.  

Best Moment This Week:

shopping for baby clothes (I have an addiction)

What I’m looking forward to: 

Dr. Appointment on Monday, where I'm sure I'll be told to gain weight but I swear I am eating everything in sight already!

Addison:

Is going to be very upset with us when we don't name this baby Puddin' she's dead set on it.  Good news for her, we can't agree on anything so Puddin is the only sure thing.

Bumpdates: Baby 2: Week 19

How Far Along:  
19 Weeks

A Mango

Total Weight Gain:
still -1 lbs, I'll take making it almost 1/2 way with no weight gain (thank you morning sickness & wisdom teeth for that)

Stretch Marks: 

Nothing that wasn't Addison induced

Maternity Clothes:
Give me all the maternity clothes!

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
yes

Sleep:
not getting enough, hopefully now that I got this bothersome wisdom tooth out of my head once it's had a few days to heal I can get back to normal!

What I miss:
again, I miss feeling good.  I feel like a sack of blah!  I'm attributing it to the mouth pain which is kind of the worse thing in the entire world.

Food Cravings:   

I've been a Popsicle addict because of my mouth hurting but I did discover the airheads flavored ones and they are delicious!  

Food Aversions: 
nothing, but I sure get full faster than normal.  I get what I would normally eat and can't even put away half of it some days and I feel stuffed!

Symptoms:
aside from the random round ligament pain I'd say my mouth took over any noticeable pregnancy symptoms this week!  

Best Moment This Week:

We got to see the baby on ultrasound (I HATE that they don't do early ultrasounds around here, its so much more comforting to actually see a little fetus kicking around in there)  and found out it's a boy.

What I’m looking forward to: 

Picking out a name. Ok not the actual picking out of the name but once we agree on SOMETHING actually having a name for baby.  Though I'd kind of like to keep it to ourselves until the baby is born this time.  We need some surprises in life.

Addison:
Is very happy to be having a baby brother, girl was going to cry if they told her that this baby was a girl.  She REALLY wanted a boy like her friend Audrina.  That's pretty much been her unwavering opinion since we first asked her what she thought the baby would be.  I took her shopping right after the ultrasound so that she could pick out a blanket (which is her obsession) for the baby.  She picked out a blue version of her purple "bouncy ball" blanket and said the baby will love it because one side is soft and the other is so cozy.  She also picked out an outfit for him.

This and a brown one with farm animals are her beloved "B's"
