Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you

I know that I no longer work as a Vet Tech, but really, that's where my heart is even though its not where the money or the benefits are....Since he started on Animal Planet I have always been inspired by Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald. (Animal Planet's Emergency Vet's & E-Vet Interns)  He also used to write a blog column for www.DVM360.com which I always enjoyed reading but I haven't seen anything from him on there in a while.

I got the chance to meet him a few years ago (2007) at the Michigan Veterinary Conference!  How cool is that?!  He gave a few lectures (which I of course went to) and then was the entertainment for the Dinner (He also does stand up!).  Emergency Vets helped inspire me to finish school, take my national exam and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.  Looking back on it, it probably helped me get over my fear of apply at/working in an emergency clinic because it gave you a small behind the scenes look of what you would be dealing with.  Cause let me tell you I was sooo nervous about not knowing what I was doing when I took the job I had at the emergency clinic.

He's a pretty cool vet if you ask me :)

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

And visit/fill in as many state as I can before I die.  I love, love, love, love, love camping.  I always wished our camper had one of these on it when I was a kid.  Although, our camper never ventured far out of Jackson County much less ever crossing state lines.  I want to be able to share with my kids the fun of camping, along with seeing the U.S.

We didn't travel much when we were kids, I remember a trip to the Mackinac Island/Saul St. Marie in there once and Mom took me to Disney when I was 16 but other than that, we didn't travel.  But boy did we camp!  So I want to combine the camping that I loved with the travel that I didn't get to experience much of for my kids.

My mom and I have always been close, we never really had any of those Teenage-I-Hate-Mom moments and I hope to have the same kind of relationship with my daughter.  My mom was 'the cool mom' to which my friends and Nick's friend always referred to as their "Sharon Mom".  Mom is amazing she's always been supportive and loving, a mother and a friend, she's the most easy going hard to piss off person I know.  (I didn't get that trait for sure)  Now that I have a child of my own I appreciate my mom even more, because I know how she truly feels to be someones mom.  Love my Mommy! :)
