Bumpdates: Baby #2: Week 40

How Far Along:
40 Weeks

Size of baby:
a Jackfruit

Total Weight Gain:
30lbs

Stretch Marks:
Nothing new, not sure how that's even possible but I'll take it.

Maternity Clothes:
Yes, even some of those shirts have given up the fight to completely cover the belly.

Gender:
It's a BOY!

Movement:
yep, though I'm  not sure how he even has a centimeter of space to move in there!

Sleep:
So incredibly tired.  It's like the first trimester all over again except this time I just plain can't get comfortable enough to sleep instead of just can't get enough sleep.

What I miss:
Not being pregnant.  Plain and simple, OVER pregnancy.  You hear that baby, I'm OVER IT!

Food Cravings:
Nothing specific, though I continue to want to eat nothing but sweet stuff... Seriously this kid may come out a 12 lb butterball.

Food Aversions:
nothing particular, finding it harder to make meals because nothing really sounds good.  (except cookies, cookies and popsicles always sound good)

Symptoms:
major headaches the past few days, soooo much pressure it hurts incredibly bad to go from sitting to standing, and overall discomfort and sick of being pregnant.  Still with the stuffy weird nose crap, and I'm about as tolerant as a pissy 90 year old man.  :)  I finally gave up on all but one of my rings cause my hands are starting to get a little swollen at night and I don't want to deal with them getting tight and panicking that I can't get them off!

Best Moment This Week:
Our friends Brendan, Kelly & their new baby girl Olivia came to town for a visit so we got to go out to dinner and spend a little time with them.  Spending extra time home with Addison has been nice, and for her three and a half year old self combined with my cranky self, she's been pretty awesome most of the time.

What I’m looking forward to:
BABY!...Seriously ANY freakin' time now kid!!

"Good Life" One Republic, I'm not sure what it is about this song, but its so addicting for my ears!

the bus,so glad that I don't have to depend on public transportation every day.

40wks 1Day

Today Addison is 40 weeks and one day old, which officially means that she's been a part of everyone's life 'out' here longer than she was just a part of mine growing 'in' me.  Its kind of a sad little milestone, she keeps getting bigger and growing away from just being mine!  :)  But, I can proudly say that I have made it through 40 weeks of breastfeeding.  Wow.  This child hasn't had one drop of formula.  I'm very proud of that.  Not that I have anything against a person who feeds formula just that it was a personal goal to breastfeed for a year and not have to give formula. 9 months is 75% of that, and that is awesome, especially being a 40 hour a week working momma and doing doing it.  As I mention before I've been having some issues with supply, not sure if its due to her decreasing her eating due to table foods being introduced or not just hoping that we can make it the next 3 months!

My little 9 month old, fearless, clingy, momma loving, silly, sweet, busy, babbling princess.

Today also marks the day where I swore I would lose all my 'baby weight' by, which I won't lie most of it MELTED off in the first weeks of breast feeding, then I somehow gained some back, some 5 lbs, in addition to what I hadn't lost...I blame it on cold winter laziness and the ravenous appetite that breast feeding has given me.  I feel like I am starving all the time!  I've been paying a lot more attention to my calorie intake even though my belly says eat, eat, eat.  Now that it's FINALLY warmed up outside on the days that its not pouring rain Addison and I go for long walks.  So though I didn't meet my "Can't be more than my pre-pregnancy weight after shes been out longer than she was in" goal, I'm getting there shedding 5 lbs in the past 2 weeks..yay!  I've read a lot of women saying that they were able to shed 10-15 lbs that just hung on for some reason as soon as they finished breast feeding...I hope to lose all my weight before then but that additional10-15 is always welcome to come off too!  I went shopping for new jeans today and the vomit inducing feeling that it caused is motivation enough, not to mention all things summer that I don't want to hate my body through!
