I'm in love with old furniture, the real wood, the curves, the detail. What I'm not in love with is the old wood, dark or light it's rarely still in good condition. That's where my friend Pinterest comes in to play and I see all these wonderful old dressers/hutches/tables/bookshelves refinished with brightly colored fun paints. Oh, that's more like it. So I decided to sell of my particle board (cute yet not so great) dressers to make way for an antique dresser on found on a sale board on Facebook.
Here she is before I got my primer/paint/polyurethane hands on it.
A little sanding, a coat of primer, 2 coats of paint,
a little distressing and 2 coats of poly later......
I planned to paint the handles with some sort of dark metal spray pant but decided after moving it into the house and putting the handles back on it to be able to slide the drawers that I actually liked them the original color with the painted wood. I am IN LOVE. It turned out perfectly! I'm excited to go pick up my next painting project tonight! And I must catch the blog up on my last two! Gees, Slacking.
Linking up with Get Out Of My Head,

Here she is before I got my primer/paint/polyurethane hands on it.
And nestled into my bedroom.
